Jyväskylä Female Choir operates under the Jyväskylä Adult Education Centre. Information about joining the choir is published in the adult education centre’s autumn programme. In 2023, the choir’s autumn term starts on September 4th at the Kuokkala School, Liitukuja 4. Enter at the library entrance, turn right and follow the corridor past the library all the way to the end.
The choir leader will test the applicant’s voice register in the first rehearsals. It’s obligatory for choir singers to be able to read sheet music at least to some extent, as we do sing demanding compositions also. Choir singers must be active participants in rehearsals and in choir’s activities.
